North/South--2 Weeks Jan. '14--Help!

Have a CX F award booked (through AS), currently to/from BOM. Struggling to focus my itin and seeking FT wisdom.)

About me:
1. Love big cities (eg, NYC, LON, BKK, SIN, SYD, HKG)
2. Love 5* hotels
3. Serious food focus--restaurants/cafes/street vendors, fancy or cheap; markets; anything else edible
4. Enjoy shopping and sports (cricket included); only mild interest in temples/museums/high culture icons.
5. Preferred travel style: loosely-planned urban wanderer

Orig idea is 6 days in BOM; 5 more in Kerala. Now having 2d thoughts about both ends....

A. Of the big cities, CX flies into DEL, MAA, CCU (in addition to BOM). Any fit my preferences better than the others?
B. What about skipping the big cities and heading straight to Jaipur? Sounds like the hotels there are the best in India.
C. Connecting through or flying domestic out of BOM sounds nightmarish. True? What would be the least aggravating alternative?
D. In the south, Goa instead of Kerala? The Portuguese culinary influences seem interesting to me.

Thx all.
