Me and Mrs MBX-to-be are getting married next year, and as we're getting married in Italy I'm hoping to book something ex-MIL either through paid hotel + flight deals on BA or using Avios for flights.

We haven't decided on where to go, and I've been given a free reign on this , which is my contribution to the planning of the wedding! We're getting married at the end of May, so we'll be going somewhere end of May/start of June.

There's a lot of wisdom on this board, so I'd to get some thoughts on best destinations for that time of year - think along the lines of the Maldives, St Lucia etc.

We want 2 weeks away, have plenty of Avios between us and want to fly Club (happy to fly F but not fussed). I'm going to be taking out a BAPP soon but it will take a good few months to hit 10k to trigger the 2-4-1.

When is the best time to book? Award availability is rubbish for anything that I've checked.
