+1 ^ Reaffirmed, most definitely with CX - you can do the free in-town checkin, seatings confirmed/changed & BP issued, up to 24 hours before flight departure time or just take the free shuttle to either HK or Kowloon AE Station that morning. http://www.hongkongairport.com/eng/t...t-express.html http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/getting_ar...ckin.html#itci

HK's public transport is most efficient, reliable and dependable - easy to use and bilingual English/Chinese signage everwhere - station employees are generally bilingual and good with assisting "foreigners" or laowai. Allow 2 to 2.5 hours for int'l departure out of HKG is more than enough, returning to USA / ORD directly - be advised of a secondary screening by private security at the gate, primary for liquid & 3-1-1 compliance. Do NOT bring, buy or take anything airside for boarding - it will be taken & discarded into the giant 55 gallon blue drums. (no thanks to TSA)
