True, it is a shame that TG didn't install the same staggered 180 lie-flat seat on the retrofitted 747 to match their new 77W and A380, but there is a legitimate reason for it. But nothing's preventing them from doing so on the upper deck (but then doing so will create a product inconsistency within the same aircraft!)
At least the seats are an updated version of the ones on the 772s and older 747s (the 7443 version)
Them could sell the lower deck as prem econ. ( same they do on ARN/CPH flights ! )
