We flew with LAN in business from JFK-LIM last year and I thought the FAs did the absolute minimum - they basically served the meal and that was the end of any service until breakfast. When I wanted the hot soup AND the shrimp appetiser on the outbound, I was told "it's one or the other". I pointed to my sleeping wife, who passed on dinner, and said, "Well, I'll have my appetiser and HER soup". I got both.
