For whatever reason, I love getting my hair cut while traveling. It is a short term souvenier that lasts for a while, then as its luster fades and it is replaced on the next venue. Almost always had very good outcomes. The conversations have been memorable as well.
Had a barber come to the home I was staying in in Medina, Ghana for $3.50 including a tip that was more than the cut. ^
