Honeymoon Travel ~ Need help on flight plan
Traveling to South Asia this fall, want to know how i can best plan my route.
Live in NJ, so EWR is the best choice, but JFK would do too.
UA EWR-HKG (Leaving on 10/10 Thur/ Arriving on Friday, 16 HR direct)
Cathy HKG-DPS (Overnight turnaround, 10/12 Sat flight out of HKG, most likely will get a hotel nearby)
China East DPS-PVG (10/18 3am sunday morning flight out of DPS, not looking foward for that)
UA PVG-EWR (10/30 No brainer, 15 HR direct)
Total fare is about ~2300 per person.
Was looking to upgrade the EWR-HKG and PVG-EWR using miles, but reading the forum it seems like EWR-HKG is one of the toughtest one to get the uprgade, so looking for guidance on that, as well as any other routing options.
