I would go with IAD, EWR can be a big issue with any weather or ATC Delays. IAD is much much larger ( runway space is probably 5 times greater, will defer to those in the know... ) But the LH Lounge at IAD is great as long as you are *Gold ( see OP is a LH Senator.. ) IAD Hands down in my opinion..
