Do you have status with oneWorld? If you have choose BA - the highers op-up chance is with BA (my personal experience - nothing scientifically proven).

If you do not have status with oneWorld - choose either BA or CX (but I would not pay GBP 200 extra) - BA will check the baggage through to the oneWorld carrier - but not to VA (if you are on separate tickets).
