Thanks for everyone's suggestion. It got me on the right track.

A bit OT. I'll be traveling solo and being 29 years old, would like to meet people on the trip. For those who know Cotswolds, would you think I can meet people easily (travelers and locals)? Like on the bus/train ride, during a hike, in the pub (I don't drink much, but enjoy carefree vibe), hostel, etc. Or is the region more of a stick-to-yourself type?

I was able to find only one hostel in the region (YHA in Stow on the Wold), which isn't encouraging. I enjoy beautiful landscapes and think Cotswolds will provide ample opportunities, but if I have to choose between that and meeting interesting people/having interesting experiences, I'd rather do the latter while I'm still relatively young , and then enjoy beautiful scenery with my SO later in life. Of course, I want to experience both where possible.

Also, is the region LGBT friendly?
