I like the display up top, though I'm biased after driving a similarly-equipped 6 for many years. It puts essential information in really easy line of sight, and the orange-on-black text is easy to read in bright light. It doesn't sound like they've done a good job integrating it with the new radio, though.
It's too bad -- the CX-9 has always seemed like the more elegant "big brother" to the Edge, but it really hasn't kept up.
I think they should have done it BMW 3-series style; mount the new radio screen high up with the orange-on-black text incorporated therein so that it falls into the driver's LOS.
I agree with the CX-9 originally being like the more elegant big-brother to the Edge.
