In fact BA describe all the food and beverages in the lounges as complimentary themselves. Here:-

If you don't have to pay for the items surely they are complimentary. If you are a Gold card holder and flying in ET or WT, you have not paid for the lounge, it is a complimentary offering that BA provide you with to show their appreciation for your loyalty.
In hotels they often put out complimentary water and fruit with their compliments, surely this is the same. You could say you paid for the room, so you paid for it but they still lable it complimentary.
To be honest I find the nit picking on this forum very unpleasant. It is actually putting me off from posting on here anymore.
Please don't be put off posting on here LG as your personal and staff insight is very valuable.
As this is a BA discussion forum people will inevitably criticise and nit-pick at BA as it's one of the few places people can share their thoughts in this regard. It's really not a personal slight and many of us only do so as they actually love the company and want it to be better.
