I had selected a good seat at 8 hours before departure. It was a seat with no one next to me, in front of me, or behind me. However at airport check-in the agent said the flight was full in coach. The agent knew I was an AA EXP so she could have offered to ug me but didn't. Based on the advice in this forum, I did not ask for an operational ug.

I got double AA redeemable miles for the AA code share based on my EXP status, but nothing for P+.
