However, UA should not have abandoned arriving transfer passengers without providing an agent for its incoming flight and pre-booked some protection and had the new boarding passes ready. It is not up to SQ to wait for a connecting passenger who is not arriving on one of its flights and traveling in economy.

Also agree this should be moved to either the UA or SQ fora.
I agree with what you're saying. When I looked at the arrival of the aircraft and the SQ boarding time on my boarding pass there was only 10 minutes difference. It would have been difficult if the plane arrived on time. I take responsibility for this but I guess I stupidly thought if it was a valid AP itinerary it would be doable with things on time but i'm not really sure this would be the case. Lesson learned. I will never book a reward ticket with such tight connections in the future. I was told by AP when I called them that it was a legal connection.

With regards to the thread, I have no issue with the thread closing. I have learned some things from this situation and the discussion and am sure i'll avoid a situation like this in the future.
