I last visited this thread a year ago and instead of things getting better I find they are getting worse. I have a Starwood Amex and before I was getting by with the chip then swipe method. Recently two of my main stores have updated there pin pads and things have gotten worse. At my London Drugs store some tills never work and some do. At Save-On-Foods they updated there pin pads and now all I get is declined. My questions are. 1. Do some canadian Amex chip cards work and some don't? 2. Can this be fixed by ordering a new card or changing my pin number. 3. What is everyone else doing? Switching to MC?
