Luggage transfer domestic->intl

Hello,
I'm flying to Hyderabad in June. I've bought tickets via LH - (one PNR) but separated tickets:
one ticket MUC-DEL and DEL-FRA with LH. the other DEL-HYD-DEL with Air India.

Can I check my luggage all the way (MUC-HYD, HDY-FRA)?
If so, is it reliable? or is it better to collect it at DEL and check in myself?

The reason I ask, is that I saw on the forum that domestic->intl and intl->domestic is much easier with a boarding pass (no need it exit and re-enter the airport).
I also have ~5 hours layover on the way back, and if I exit they might not let me re-enter for a few hours.

Thanks
