1) VAT is taken off during the purchase process on Koffer-Direkt - No Koffer24 experience, but I'd assume it is the same.

2) I live in CA and wasn't charged sales tax. I wasn't charged import duty either, probably because my purchase was under $800. I was charged EUR 291.68 (after an EUR 10 discount) and EUR 50 for shipping (DHL). This was for a Classic Flight.
