From what I can see, separate from any question of points/status, for the 4 you mention differences between individual properties are bigger than differences between the chains overall.

If you name the cities, and what you like, people can comment on those particular hotels. Otherwise, it's all generalization, and again, IME, what's the best choice in one city for one particular taste might be completely the wrong choice for that taste in another city.

FWIW, for Bangkok in particular, iof that set ... I think the Westin is pretty close to the best of all possible worlds -- great rooms, great bed, great location... although that's based on transit access (on both BTS and MRT, and a short cab ride from ARL) not proximity to the business center.
