We were thrilled to discover that our hotel bathroom had a tub that was large enough and wide enough for both of us to lie down side by side. Sheer bliss. We took a bath, immediately followed by a shower and then another bath, and then went out for dinner and came back and had another bath. The pleasure I derived from this tub was only slightly diminished on the third night when I discovered that I had been sharing the bathroom (thankfully not the bathtub) for three days with two cockroaches that were so large that my husband had named them.
People thought I was weird when I name the cockroach who lived on the stairs in one of our hotels - his name was Boris, and I said good morning and evening to him as we passed.
