On my SIN-LHR sector I'm guessing I was one of the lowest value Golds on board, and with
by far the cheapest J ticket*...
I'm pretty sure this means all Golds are equal, ticket price doesn't come in to it, and being a solo traveller definitely helps.
* That's all I'm going to say about the ticket
