she is really freaking out b/c i want to want until arrival at KIX to get JPY at the airport from the 7-11 ATM. where i live (rural MD) there is nowhere nearby to get money exchanged and even my local bank rates are worse than Travelex. (which is hard to believe b/c i thought they were the worst)

add'l details: we arrrive on a Saturday around 3pm KIX time. i looked up on the KIX site about the hours for the various money exchange places located in the airport. if there is any glaring info i may be missing, please let me know. TIA.
You probably have it figured out already but i've withdrawn more than CAD$100 cash from Japan ATM with my Canadian bank card many times. Basically it's up to the limit that I can withdraw daily in Canada. Most of the time I just use my no forex fee credit card to save $$. The cash is used for small transactions or places that don't accept credit card only
