Under my on-line profile, I designated Delta as my preferred airline partner while United was also listed. I booked a Hilton stay 2 months ago and decided to switch my earning partner to United a week before checking in. However, when I checked out today, my bill still lists Delta. Has the earning preference already locked in the moment I made my reservation and cannot be changed?
