So, what was my reaction? I just signed up for Aegean's Miles & Bonus!

Anyone know what A3 redemptions are like on *A carriers?

In the same boat, still status-chasing for FB, and am/was going for LTPL. Fortunate enough to have *G on A3 through a match after BMI got eaten by BA. A3 is nothing fancy, but it's easy *G with a reasonable award chart. The main drawback, I guess, is no bonus mile earning for elites.
But requalifying for *G with one flight every 2-3 years is incredible.
