I am thinking of flying SFO-JFK with VX and then JFK-YYZ with AA (separate ticket.) I usually cannot OLCI with AA and my connection is only 90 minutes. If my flight is late, I can probably still make it to the flight, but not by the check-in deadline. Can I "check-in" and get a BP for my flight in SFO?
