I'm flying to Hyderabad (landing around noon). I've checked with the hotel and for a transfer to the city they ask for 1600 INR + tax. This sounds a bit high to me.

Is the price reasonable? Is taking a taxi on my own from the airport a good idea? Or would it cost the same or might be problematic (scams, finding the hotel etc...)?
