Of course you will lose your seat under this scenario, unless you want to risk leaving an item on your seat to "save" it and hope that it is respected.
Thanks for the tip. I just priced the various legs separately, and it is a no-go for now. But I'll keep checking. And, I'm still holding out hope I can get the earlier morning flight that has a single plane change rather than the direct flight with two stops. I'm flying into ECP (Panama City Beach, FL), and it seems that flight prices for that final ECP leg are just astronomical no matter where you are coming from. Apparently the gulf coast is alive and well!
