Chicken wraps as default?
In both directions, we were handed chicken wraps. On asking, they were enhanced to cheese (mozzarella and tomato). Is there a reason why chicken is offered as default?
To echo what Littlegirl said it is very unusual to have so many overhead lockers out of action. Normally engineering will tape them closed if they cannot be used, but this then causes an issue when we need to security check the aircraft and force them open again!!! If the locker is broken and won't close we would ensure there was nothing placed into it, and probably try and tape it shut using our magic micro-pore from the medical kit, or a defects label!!!
I assume in ET the offering is the same as that in WT... Generally when we offer a sandwich there is not officially a choice, but we will usually carry some veg options, normally cheese and pickle or something similar. They are really there as an "emergency" and would not be offered by the crew unless someone really has a dislike or allergy to the primary option, or has forgotten to order a veg meal.
