I'd note too, that if this is linked to yesterday's questions re health insurance, if a carrier stopped flying because it became unsafe to do so (e.g. war zone, terrorism) I don't know what would be covered. Regular BA cancelled its flight from Rome to London type thing, I have always been covered.
