Experiences with lost in-cabin items
Left an iPad in the seatback on flight 1200 from Chicago to Atlanta last Friday -- I was pretty tired after a 16 hour flight from Hong Kong, and a 27 hour layover in Chicago due to flooding.
Atlanta luggage staff were very helpful about searching for it, but no luck. I completed the lost item report online, then spoke with the lost and found United department. I was told, if they have my Ipad, it could take up to two months before the report gets processed. I am curious what experiences others have had with UA lost and found.
My lost iPhone app tells me that the iPad hasn't been connected to the internet since it disappeared, which makes me think it more likely that it has gone into the bowels of lost and found than the hands of a lucky passenger. Still, two months seems like a long time to wait.
