If you are travelling on OW partner, the staff on door is not very familiar with the rules. She was questioning my eligibility for access, but said that she would make an exception this time.
I agree with Tin_on_the_road about staff not knowing the rules. Some years ago before I had my BA status, I was AA EXP (OW emerald) and was denied access to the lounge when flying BA WT+. I was told that the lounge was full and in spite of my polite explanation of the OW rules she was not going to allow me to enter. I could see that the lounge wasn't full and my colleague later confirmed that there was plenty of space.
