I'm a little late to the discussion, but let me second that it will likely be very cold in mid-May at night. I've stayed at Curry Village several nights in July and August and have been very cold, even with fleeces and sleeping bags. I wouldn't do it with a 10 month old (and I say that as a mom of a 4 year old and another one on the way). If you have no other choice, bring lots and lots of layers and blankets and consider co-sleeping for those nights to keep the baby warm.
The other problem with the canvas-side tent cabins is that they do not keep noise out. On some nights, there can be a party-like atmosphere in the village (worse on Fri/Sat night so you may not get the worst of it being there on Sun/Mon) with lots of noise, and the cabins are very close together. Your baby may be woken up. Alternatively, if your baby doesn't sleep through the night, you may be disturbing a lot of other people who are trying to sleep.
You will likely have to be very careful with baby food/formula, toiletry products, and even soiled diapers with the bear issue. Logistically it is a hassle with a baby when you need easy access to supplies.
I love Curry Village, but if I were in your shoes, I'd keep trying to find alternate lodging in the coming weeks. Something good could open up price-wise as you are not yet competing with the summer crowds.
Good luck and enjoy Yosemite, no matter where you stay!
