Is There Any Benefit Booking C As A *G?

I'm flying LH MUC-MRS, MUC-BCN, MUC-CPH, MUC-CDG on some combo of A319, A320 and E95 CityLine. Is there any benefit in having a C ticket for those flights or should I just save (more than) a few bucks and book Y and ask for the exit seat?

As a *G, do they look the other way on onboard luggage requirements ever or do I need to book C for that, if I'm carrying on a standard US size rollerboard?

From what I hear, I'll want to do all of my eating in the SEN lounge, is that still the case or is C food decent enough?

Am I correct in believing that the only row with any extra legroom on the plane is the exit row?
