Thanks for the answers so far. I would not be booking an opaque fare. Assuming they weren't at a price disadvantage, WN would normally be my first choice for this trip (MCO-AUS). If I do fly another airline, it would be UA so I could try to earn some more miles with them.

What is an "unpublished fare"? Is that a fare that is less $ than any listed on United.com?
