I would suggest booking through another site that will allow a 3rd party credit card or see if the office travel agent can make the personal booking
The EK site allows skywards gold card holders to make and pay for bookings online for others. Simply log in on the EK site and follow the normal booking process but do not tick the check box which asks to use skywards details for passenger details. When it comes to the payment page the drop down menu will have the gold card holders name as one of the options.

The interesting part would be when it comes to one of those destinations where the payment card is requested at check in. I would assume that the booking engine would flag that destination up at the point of payment.
