If you're not driving a manual shift, you'll be fine driving through the Atlas Mountains. The roads are paved.
Yes the car rental would be at the airport.

I would drive straight to Marrakech when I land on Monday afternoon. Monday night and Tuesday I would spend in Marrakech with a few hours Tuesday morning in the Atlas mountains. Wednesday morning I would do the long drive to Fez and leave Fez Thurday at around 2 pm for a late flight Thurs out of Casablanca. Is this do able? I know it's super rushed but will I at least get to see the sights of Marrakech and Fez? Any ideas would be great.

Thanks again everyone for the help with my trip.
