As for your "You are not building your loyalty to the airline, flying it, or accruing status to be used on future flights" when obtaining benefits on Aerolineas while accruing to KE, I would have thought the logical counter argument is that one needs to have flown enough to qualify for the Aerolineas status to begin with. I don't see what gives the obligation to the passenger to continue accruing miles to the host airline of the elite status than necessary to maintain the status.

But since neither you nor I "have the time or inclination" to look up the rules for KE or Aerolineas, I suppose we will just have to agree to disagree.

Well, you're just making a rationalization, as Alaska has plenty of partner airlines that honor its benefits. No one has posted here about the specific situation of Aerolineas benefits, but you chose to attack me suggesting that no airline had a rule like the one I found by starting with the first alphabetical airline. Aerolineas Argentinas has no details of its elite program online.

Since you have no indication that this is allowed under the rules, and I have pointed to at least one airline which explicitly disallows the practice, my word of caution to the OP was and is entirely appropriate.
