i think people who cannot live apart for a couple hours have mental problems, and now is the best time for them to practice being alone.
my wife and i choose our seats by a number of criteria. (bathroom access, cafateria noise, window,), etc.
i like her companionship, i do not want to sit next to a bad smelling twit, or 17" computer user. any pig in poke seatmate is about 50% unacceptable to me.
if i get stuck on the window side on flatbeds, i will have to jump over the person on the aisle side about 10 times on a tatl.
all my toys and goodies are packed in my carryon. i would have to move them. since the bag weighs about 35-40 lbs,and i have 3 or 4 pieces, i would have to have someone move it for me.
i continously looose stuff ever since i had my brain damage. i cannot imagine a seatmate being happy about finding my glasses and my earphones and my kindle everyhour when i return from toilet.
i'm not going to be happy transporting the food my wife and i divide and or share.
every traveler needs a bit of tough love.
