Got my global entry on Friday. Updated my AA account with trusted traveler number and checked the TSA precheck opt in box. Went to airport today, and did not qualify for TSA Pre.
AA says it might be because my ticket was booked with a middle initial as opposed to a full middle name as on my Advantage account and on my global entry card. Not sure if this is true but it has not prevented me from using TSA Pre on Delta in the past.
Any thoughts?
Whatever secure flight data AA is sending to TSA must match the name on the GE card or it wont work. I'm not sure about AA but on every other carrier, updating your traveler profile does not update any reservations booked prior to the profile update
