That would be correct if it was the case at the time of booking. The OP would have the ability to pick and choose whether to accept booking a segment in Business or not. No, EK sold them F-F.
To illustrate how this could pan out if it had been travel in the other direction (WAR-DXB-SIN), EK would have been liable to refund the OP ¾ of the "price of the ticket" since Poland is an EU member [EU 261/2004 section 10].
