The dollar amounts in the end do not matter. If you bought a McDonald's burger and found it to be rotten you're entitled to your money back. If your Bentley won't start when you go to drive it out of the lot, you're entitled to your money back.
I have sympthy for anyone who pays and gets BONED by a corporation, no matter how small or big the amount is. The boning is being done by a beancounter somewhere who views you entirely as a number and has no moral obligation to see that fairness and justice have been served in these incidents.
So yeah, he's got my sympathy.

I'm happy this story surfaced because it goes to show that AC is more than happy to BONE their top-paying customers as much as everyone else. It demonstrates management's general contempt for their customers and people need to know about it. Hopefully some of the publicity / uproar will lead to future improvements.
