I will definitely write in just for the experience and to see what the response is. Is there a main/head office that is the best place to direct such correspondence?
You paid for both legs in F and I cannot get that you would not be given some kind of compensation for a downgrade due to change of aircraft, whatever the class.
Whether or not the fare is the same for one leg in first and one for business, was not made clear on your booking, if it is the case. Simply was not what you thought you paid for. I would be so annoyed of EK changed aircraft/downgraded to two classes and did not offer me anything.
Have you emailed EK or spoken with Skywards and tried to get it sorted properly?
Surely they would assist you.
