True, but Chase also does not allow customers to report changes in income (unless asking for a CLI or applying for a new card). I got a promotion awhile ago and a sizable raise, which leads to increases in spending (marginal propensity to consume). My creditworthiness has not changed, but my income has increased, and my spending has increased - and no way to tell Chase.
So, while it may appear that I am out-spending my reported income, it would not appear that way if Chase had current information.
