I walked in to the lobby of a Ramada Inn back in the early 1980s and there stood Academy Award winning actor Gene Hackman. He apparently walked in right before me. The young girl checking him in was obviously shaken up with celebrity fright. She was pretty nervous. I said to Gene, "I bet this happens to you often". He was very nice about it and simply said, "It goes with the job" like it was no big deal.
