They have no point. If LY was smart they would do the same thing as TK connecting pax from Europe to Asia instead of making it cheaper by half to fly from TLV-HKG via Paris on AF. I was looking into a recent flight to LA and its $7,000 on LY vs $3,000 on TK. So maybe there is a little premium for a nonstop but not that much. LY only has themselves to blame.
