Yes but it makes perfect sense. Since the company is not going to be installing AVOD, DTV, or power, that means they can order the base model seat, which has no wirring connection to the aircraft.
Meaning there would be no place to plug in headphones to go listen to audio/video on the overhead monitors. So they decided they can save even more weight,
and rip out complimentary audio and video , and instead try and peddle pay-for-use WiFi as the replacement solution.
Very troubling developments.
