I booked the Sheraton Warsaw using the BRG and got approved. The rate was prepaid rate and the bill just showed on my credit some days ago. It was my first time using BRG so what should I do next? My understanding in this scenario is that you should get the difference credited back to your credit card. I am surprised that hotel was so quick in charging the full prepaid rate as usually it is not such an instant process. In the future book lowest flexible rate and fill BRG claim showing the lowest available prepaid rate on SPG vs other website. In this scenario they would match the lowest rate, while your cancellation policy would remain unchanged.
