A web app has a SSL key from app to app and the password is passed through an encryption process, same for the MP account. Me thinks UA gave access to the old UA system but now with SHARES it appears SHARES may not have the same link open. Otherwise they would access the web page on your behalf if they had your password and ID and present the data back to you in their form.
