I'm with you. I value the lounge access far more on arrival at dest or pre-flight on the return leg than on the outbound. BUT that could be because my home airport doesn't have a lounge. But for business travel, you might be flying on a work day. If you're a lawyer or consultant, you can take a later flight but still be productive and bill a few hours from the lounge.
