You can't get your boarding pass at the kiosk without someone checking your passport first. It's a silly security thing there.
+1. Experienced this in February flying GIG-MIA. Wasn't checking a bag or anything. Felt like I was getting the Nth degree with all the security questions.
The AA lounge is nice enough. Friendly desk agents and the showers are good. ^
