Feb: 3 patients admitted to hospital later confirmed with the virus contract H7N9.
Feb 19: Shanghai health experts suspect new virus after ruling out all other possibilities in 3 patients admitted on Feb 19. (These seem to be different people to the 3 confirmed cases in Feb.)
Feb 26: Health experts suspect new virus in patient 1.
March 4: Death of patient 1.
March 7: Rumours begin on Chinese social media over unexplained hospital deathS (media has only reported one H7N9 death till this date as of April 18).
March 10: Death of patient 2.
March 10: Shanghai determines new virus.
March 20: Shanghai identifies new virus as H7N9.
March 22: Shanghai submits info to the CDC.
March 29: CDC confirmations of the virus
March 31: First media reports of 3 original cases and confirmation of new virus.
April 2: Media reports 4 additional cases and no cases amongst 167 relatives. Reported deaths begin on a daily basis.
April 9: Patient 3 dies.
April 13: Husband confirmed for H7N9 after wife died on April 3.
April 18: Patient 1's two sons confirmed having the virus. Older survived. Suspicion to whether it was human-to-human transmission. According to another report the younger died.

They should tell us how many people are in hospital awaiting lab confirmation. The virus has been making the run arounds since Feb in humans. Without a doubt the number of possible cases is higher. The number of unexplained deaths to flu is probably also higher. I think we should know these numbers.

I was told on Feb 5 by a Shanghai hospital of a serious deadly virus going around. I have reason to believe this is H7N9 now.
